He alternates between painting, drawing and sculpture, with chromatic minimalism and light traces as his common denominator. Since 1990 he has taken part in numerous collective exhibitions and regularly holds individual exhibitions. In 1996 he held an exhibition at the Casal Solleric in Palma entitled Diari fntim [Intimate diary]. In 1997, the Fundacion Pilar i Joan Miro a Mallorca exhibited his work under the title Monotips [Monotypes], In 1999 he presented Ser-Estar [Be] at the Altair gallery in Palma and also held the exhibitions Temps suspes [Suspended time] and Micro-monde [Micro-world] in Madrid and Bordeaux the same year. Mallorca has been his pillar but never his boundary, alternating this with Ibiza, Madrid (Astarte gallery, 1999-05), France, Germany (Henseleit gallery, 2000-04-05-06) and Belgium (Marc Van Meensel gallery, 2001). Collective exhibitions and fairs have helped him become known internationally: Uruguay (National Museum of Visual Arts, 2006); Art Miami (06); Kiaff (Korea, 2006); Art Frankfurt (04); Arteba and the Enrique Larreta Museum in Buenos Aires (04 and 05); Art Chicago (98), etc. In recent years, Fabre has become increasingly more prominent and his work is represented in several collections and muse¬ ums, also receivingoutstanding prizes that bear witness to such recognition: the Sant Margal Painting Prize for 2006; the “Rei en Jaume” Prize for Plastic Arts 2004; the City of Palma Prize 2000; the 15th Navarra Painting Prize from the Museum of Navarra, etc. The exhibitions Monter-Decendre [Going up-Descend-ing] (Can Janer gallery, Inca, 2006), Els girs del llenguatge [The turns of language] (S’Escorxador in Marratxf, 2007) and A mode d’oracio [By way of oration] (Joan Oliver “Maneu” gallery, 2008) are his most recent individual presentations.
