Tommii Lim is an artist, creative director and producer from DTLA. His works depict the way he interprets the world around him through conversations, experiences and memories he creates from real life. In 2011 he experienced a cut to his right eye, almost losing his vision, forcing him to recover and give up creating for 2 long years. Fortunately he underwent a successful corneal transplant surgery which forever changed the way he saw and interpreted the world. This transformation has enabled and forced him to evolve his works to a much simpler, dynamic abstract style, often depicting movement with minimal lines.
Lim’s evolved style has been referred to as a seduction of lines thru minimal explosions and use simple conceptual elements of line and space techniques to capture constructivist tension and abstract amplification of his surroundings within a flat geometric plain. He was trained and managed under the late great Karl Bornstein (Charter founder of MOCA / Mirage Editions / Karl Bornstein Gallery). His unique style of visual communication and creative direction has taken his visions to various exhibitions and clients around the globe.
